Scuba diving
Sky diving
Rock climbing
Anything where you're not sat on your arse.
Unless you need an HGV licence for something specific? I believe you have to do regular tests once you've got it to keep it valid? ____________________ <Simple> no I'm shaven Jon

I hear motorbikes are fun, you could get one of those.
If you already have a road bike, how about offroading. ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |

Just doing my HGV at the moment , it's not cheap , has cost me £1000 so far , i failed my first test due to getting myself into a blindspot and having to ask the examiner to check for oncoming traffic before i could pull out of a very tight junction , he told me i had done excactly The right thing by asking him but unfortunatley had to fail me for it .
I made the mistake on an unfamilure road of following road markings instead of completely straddeling 2 lanes of the road in order to give myself more visibility . a hard lesson to learn! and i have a retest shortly.
I have also learned that HGV driving requires an incredibley high standard of driving it is NOT just like driving a big car and is quite possibley the hardest test you will ever take.
If you see a wagon on a roundabout don't undertake him or try and race him around in the wrong lane and if you see a lorry indicating to move over or change lanes , flash him out if you can
as it really does help and we are very grateful when it happens
Cheers.

just thought if I was going to do summat, then something that might be an earner at some point might be a good plan I "should" go and do a management course but I think it would be boring ____________________ "Eat food, not edible, food-like items. Mostly plants." |

You need a licence to drive a HGV?
Half the people who deliver to work when I'm on the yard don't seem like they could take a primary school reading test let alone any vehicle test. We had one today who'd driven from the depot in Wales, all the way to us, his first drop off in Cornwall, with his tail-lift folded the first step down No lights or number plate visible as a consequence, and there's only 2 push in pins that hold it up when it's not stowed away properly.
Nah, on a whole the drivers are good bunch, just get one or two of the old boys make mistakes and knock things/other vehicles whilst reversing in. I expect it is very hard to drive though, as you say. ____________________ ::'04 Yamaha Jog:: || ::'01 Honda NSR:: || ::'00 Suzuki Swift:: || ::'89 Swift GTi:: || ::'96 Swift Poverty Spec:: || ::'92 Swift GTi:: |
