are their any settings somewhere you can change to stop it doing this? I'm trying to move files from one computer to another over the network and half the stuff I'm moving over keeps coming up saying the filename is too long and stops. It's doing it on stuff that are only 5-6 words long. really really really annoying. I have about 30 gig to copy over and i'm gonna throw this thing out the window in a minute as it's taking so long.

that's what it says, I can't really rename any files because their all linked to each other and wont work if I do.

How many characters in the title? Depending on the OS and File System you're using, there are limits.
